LA Diving Sites

White Point dive is one of the most interesting dive sites in LA. It has white bacterial mats along the bottom and is close to the hypo-thermal hotsprings. The dive site also features an old shipwreck, rock reef, and kelp beds. You will also see giant sea stars and urchins. High tide is the best time for diving.

Leo Carillo

Leo Carrillo La, a state park is located along the southern coastline of Los Angeles County, California. It is located in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area and has 1.5 miles of sandy beach that extends into Santa Monica Mountains. The pristine waters off Leo Carrillo State Park are a great place for scuba divers.

Divers can choose between three main dive spots at Leo Carrillo. These sites are ideal for beginners as they have easy entry points and ample parking. They are also popular spots for night diving and lobster hunting and have plenty of marine wildlife to view.

Santa Barbara Island

Santa Barbara Island offers some outstanding offshore dive locations. To reach these sites, visitors can board a visiting boat. These spots are ideal for hunting and photography as they are often very rugged. In addition, there are many healthy kelp beds and purple hydro coral in these areas. It is also a great spot for swimming in Southern California waters.


It is possible to kayak and snorkel on the island. Tent camping is possible if it's allowed by the weather. The island is home to a large population of pinnipeds including harbor seals and northern elephant seals as well as California sea lions. These animals can often be seen around the sealion rookery and at several overlooks.

Anacapa Island

Anacapa Island is home to a variety of marine life. The area is also home to one the United States's first Marine Protected Areas. The region offers diving that is not only great for beginners but also for seasoned divers. The warm waters of the island make it an ideal place to dive in a wetsuit. In late summer and autumn, the surface temperatures can reach 70°F (21°C). In the winter, temperatures can plummet to 50°F (10°C). A 7mm wetsuit should be used. Visibility is usually at least 100 feet (30M) during these months.

Dive charter boats and Island Packers can access the Anacapa dive spot. There are many dive locations on the island. One of them is a 40-foot-tall archrock. These sites are also accessible from the sea surface with snorkeling gear.

Veteran's Park

Veteran's Park on Ocean Drive is a Green Space that features a playground and fields. This is a great place for families to spend time together. It's also near the beaches. The park has a wonderful view of ocean from its top on sunny days. It is open throughout the year and has plenty to offer.

The parking lot makes it easy to get to the park. Veteran's Park makes it an ideal location to start your diving adventure. It's easy to reach with parking and restrooms. The meter is always checked, and there is also an outdoor shower for rinse gear. You can also use the park's changing area. The restrooms close at night.
