Diver Certificate Levels

If you're interested in diving but aren't sure where to begin, an introductory course is perfect for you. Also known as a buceo (or baptism in water), this course can be a great option for beginners or those who don't have much time. While you can dive up to 12m, you will need a certified instructor to complete the course. If you decide to take any additional classes, you can upgrade to the next level, such as a Rescue or Advanced open water certification.

PADI Scuba Diver

There are many PADI Scuba Diver course levels. Beginners can start with the introductory course, and then progress to a higher level when they reach certain levels. The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of 14 modules, which are broken into three sections. The course typically lasts for three days. However, it can be upgraded in as little a 1/1.5 day. This is the most popular course in the world and will allow you to dive to 18 meters.

Advanced open water diver

Advanced open water divers are those who have completed an Open Water Diver Course and have obtained an AOW certification. AOW divers are able to dive at deeper depths than the recommended 60 feet. They are also able to work on buoyancy and air consumption. Advanced open water divers can also dive in specialty areas like wreck diving. There are many levels of AOW certifications. Below are the differences between the levels. You can read more about these levels by reading on.

Rescue diver

There are three levels to your Rescue Diver certificate: the technical, recreational, and the dive leader. The standards for these levels are set by the International Standards Organisation (ISO). These levels are based on BS EN 140433-2:2004 and ISO 24801-1-2004. Instructors who are level-one can instruct recreational divers and assess their knowledge to the level of a diver. They also have the ability to plan and conduct dives. They can also lead divers in open waters and assist with rescue operations.

Cave-1 class

Cave diver certification requires at least 40 hours of classroom instruction and practical experience. Course content includes cave diving techniques and skills, standard procedures and emergency procedures, and information on the hazards and challenges of the environment. During the cave course, students are assessed on their skills through two sections: academics as well as water-based exercises. Students are required to pass an exam and demonstrate their competence by passing a quiz. The course requires the student to complete a cave dive course manual.

Master Scuba Diver

Master Scuba Diver certification is available in five levels. The first level is the Open Water dive, which is where you learn how to dive, and manage yourself and your scuba gear. The second level includes electives, which you can choose. Master Scuba Divers can join other certified divers as long they are certified. This level also comes with a 10% discount on the five courses.
