Leo Carillo

Leo Carrillo La is a California state parks located along Los Angeles County's southern coast. It is part Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. Santa Barbara Island

In addition, there are many healthy kelp beds and purple hydro coral in these areas. The visibility is also excellent for Southern California waters.


Visitors to the island can also take part in snorkeling and kayaking. If it is dry, tent camping can be done. It is also home to large numbers of pinnipeds such as harbor seals, northern Elephant seals, and California Sea Lions. These animals can be seen in the rocks surrounding the sea lion nestery. Anacapa Island

In winter, temperatures may drop as low to 50 degrees F (10oC). Using a 7mm wetsuit is recommended. Visibility is usually at least 100 feet (30M) during these months.

Dive charter boats and Island Packers can access the Anacapa dive spot. There are many dive sites on the Island, including a 40-foot high arch rock. These sites can also been viewed from the water surface by snorkeling gear.

Veteran's park

Veteran's Park on Ocean Drive is a Green Space that features a playground and fields. This is a wonderful place for families to come together. It's also near the beaches. It offers great views of the ocean from the park on sunny days. It is open throughout the year and has plenty to offer.

From the parking lot, it is easy to access. If you're a first-time diver, Veteran's Park is the best place to start your diving adventure. You can park easily and find restrooms. A meter is available for checking, and you can also use the outdoor shower to rinse your clothes. The park also has a changing area, but restrooms close at dusk.
