PADI Open Water Diver Certification
PADI Open Water Diver certification can cost as low as $350. If you're lucky enough to find a study place, it can also be as cheap as $225. Techniques for confined-water diving
The PADI Instructor Manual contains a list of skills required for each confined water diving level. These skills include ascent and descend, mask clearing, neutral buoyancy at different depths and setting up and using your equipment. While these skills are important for open water diving, confined water diving is much easier to learn. It's also much more enjoyable! You'll also be able to experience different wildlife by diving under the sun.
The PADI Open Water Diver experience begins at 8.30 am. There will be a brief orientation, theoretical sessions, and a practical session with confined water. During this time you will learn to breathe underwater and compensate for pressure. You'll then embark on a PADI dive on a boat to the Atlantic Princess, a thirty-meter-long wreck rich in marine life.
Maximum training depth
Open Water certification will allow you to safely dive to the maximum permissible depth. Many Open Water certified divers are unsure how deep they can dive. Most agencies allow divers to open-water dive for up 50 minutes before they recommend deeper diving. Below are some guidelines to help you decide if you should train at this level.
You will need to be able to swim 50 feet/15m without stopping if you want to take an advanced course. A typical course takes 14 minutes. You'll need the ability to swim distances of 200 yards (185m) and not stop. You will also need to acquire all of the necessary equipment, which includes a single-cylinder with at least 72 feet of capacity and sufficient supervision. You will also need an exposure suit that fits the duration of your diving course.
Course Requirements
A course to become a certified scuba diver usually takes between three and four days. The course includes a manual, study sections, and quizzes. Instructors help students with their answers. Beginning their certification, students learn the basics of confined diving. Once the student is certified, they can go on to open water diving.
