It is important to be familiar with your equipment in order to improve your technical diving skills. This will enable you to quickly locate it in the event of a problem. It is also a good idea to practice using your backup gear. Even though you shouldn’t dive with your backup gear, it is a good idea to practice using it whenever necessary. This will make sure you always have backup equipment in case anything goes wrong.
TDI
Technical divers must be knowledgeable about dive computer settings and gas blends. Technical divers should also be able to calculate how many decompression stops are required to complete a multilevel dive.
NAUI
The NAUI technical dive skills course is 20 hours long and focuses on advanced techniques and skills. It also includes advanced lifesaving, rescue, or contingency procedures. For students to enroll in this course, they must have advanced scuba diver certification or an equivalent. It also requires a minimum age and pre-requisites.
GUE
GUE technical diving skills certification gives you the ability to perform rescue or technical dive operations. These skills include the ability to properly manage an unconscious diver underwater, switch regulators and valves, and use GUE equipment in the water. Scuba divers also need to be proficient in open water skills including ascents and descents. In addition to being able to swim at least 500 meters (450m) with one breath hold, divers must be proficient in basic equipment and recognize their diving limits.
IANTD
The IANTD Technical Diver program adds a new level of safety to recreational diving. Among other things, it trains its students to use rebreathers, which have cutting-edge benefits, such as extended bottom times and better decompression.
DSAT
DSAT TecRec, a series of technical diving skills courses, was launched in the early 2000s. These courses have always produced highly-trained technical divers. It uses state-of-the art training materials and has a logical, integrated course flow. The training levels range from basic to advanced. Students can progress at their own pace while gaining experience at each level.
PADI
You can sign up for a PADI technical diver skills course if diving is your passion. PADI Tec courses teach you everything, from how to plan your dives to how to use decompression software. You'll learn how to dive at depths up to 50m (165 feet) with minimal to no decompression time and learn how to use a desk top decompression software program. There are several levels in this course. The goal of the course is to become a professional technical diver.
