Tec 40 course
PADI Tec 40 expands on the skills and techniques of recreational divers to include more advanced techniques. This course will introduce students to air and trimix 65 decompression gases, and teach them advanced tec deep diving skills. Tec 40 students will also learn how to use back gas and master buoyancy control. In addition, they will learn advanced nitrox theory.
The Tec40 course emphasizes team diving, self-reliance, and communication. The course also teaches students decompression theory which can help them plan their dives more efficiently. In addition, the course provides a detailed session on diving equipment configuration and best practices for recreational divers.

The PADI Tec40 course takes around three days. The course requires that students have completed at minimum 30 dives in log, with at least 10 in enriched oxygen. Students can switch to enriched air and dive up to 40m after completing the course.
Requirements to take Tec 40 course
The PADI Tec 40 course, which is geared towards technical diving, is a great place for beginners. It bridges the gap between recreational diving and full technical deep decompression diving. It provides the necessary skills for tec diver training. It will allow you to dive to 40 metres without stopping. You can also use enriched or 50% EANX for your decompression dives. A full technical rig will also be available.
The Tec40 course teaches students advanced decompression theory, while also emphasizing team-diving approaches and a self-reliant approach in the water. Tec40 introduces students into advanced nitrox theories, including partial pressures and oxygen exposure across multiple dives.
Credit for Tec 40 courses from college
The PADI Tec 40 course consists of three days of diving and requires a minimum of 30 logged dives, including 10 enriched air nitrox dives. It teaches the diver how to plan a dive and use enriched air and oxygen to decompress. It also helps the diver plan and execute extended decompression stops. It is the next level in a diver’s training, and opens the door for deeper expeditions. The course can be completed for college credit.

The Tec 40 course can be taken by advanced divers who want more knowledge about technical diving. The course includes planning, using two deco gases (nitrox and 100% oxygen in stages), and navigating the multi-gas computer. This course is for those divers who have completed the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course and have at least thirty dives.
