The Tec 40 Diver course is designed to introduce you to the necessary skills to handle emergencies while diving. It includes three training dives, one confined water dive, as well as knowledge development and practical application sessions. After you have completed at least 30 dives including 10 enriched oxygen nitrox dives, you can earn this certification. You'll be eligible to attend Padi Tec40 courses offered by colleges and universities all over the world after completing this course.
Tec 40 course
PADI Tec 40 expands on the skills and techniques of recreational divers to include more advanced techniques. This course will introduce students to air and trimix 65 decompression gases, and teach them advanced tec deep diving skills. Students of Tec 40 will learn how to use backgas and master buoyancy control. They will also learn advanced nitrox theory.
The Tec40 course emphasizes team dive techniques, self-reliance in and communication in the sea. Students are also taught more about decompression theory and how it can be used to optimize dive planning. Additionally, the course covers equipment configuration and best practices.

It takes approximately three days to complete the PADI Tec40 course. To complete the course, students must have completed at least 30 logged dives, including at least 10 in enriched air. Students can switch to enriched air and dive up to 40m after completing the course.
To take the Tec 40 course, you must be at least 18 years old
If you are interested in technical diving, the PADI Tec 40 course is a great place to start. It bridges between recreational diving and technical deep diving. This course teaches the skills necessary for tec diver training. You will be able to decompress to 40m without stopping. You'll also be able to use a full technical rig.
The Tec40 course teaches students advanced decompression theory, while also emphasizing team-diving approaches and a self-reliant approach in the water. Tec40 introduces students also to advanced nitrox theory.
For Tec 40 course, college credit
PADI Tec 40 requires a minimum 30 logged dives and 10 enriched air nitrox dives. The course teaches divers how to plan and use oxygen and enriched air to decompress. It also helps the diver plan and execute extended decompression stops. This is the next step of a diver's diving training and opens up the doors to deeper expeditions. College credit is available for those who complete the course.

Advanced divers interested in technical diving will benefit from the Tec 40 course. The course includes planning and using two deco gases (nitrox in stages and 100% oxygen at the end), as well as navigating the multigas computer. Divers who have completed PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and have logged at least thirty dives are eligible for this course.
