You can dive to depths not usually considered safe for deep divers. This may be due to prescribed limits set by a local authority. Also, you may be able to dive in some of the most spectacular underwater environments on the planet, such as Elphinstone Reef and the Galapagos. Find out more about deep diving in these special locations.
Elphinstone Reef
You can dive Elphinstone Reef from a liveaboard for the best underwater experience. This location allows you to dive backwards. You will need to be confident with your backward roll. There are fewer people so you have more chances to see marine life and sharks in the early morning. Additionally, you can see more tropical fish. The resident hawksbill tortue will also be available for you to view.
Blue Hole Belize
The Great Blue Hole is an enormous marine sinkhole that lies off the coast Belize. This remarkable diving spot is found close to Lighthouse Reef. At 124 metres deep and 318 metres across, the Great Blue Hole covers 70,650 square metres of surface area. Here, deep divers have the opportunity to see some of nature's most beautiful underwater scenes. This Belize diving destination is ideal for deep divers because of its cave-like atmosphere and high visibility.

Galapagos
Deep diving in Galapagos is a rewarding and challenging experience. Galapagos Islands are home to incredible marine life. Due to this, the water can be quite opaque. The best time to dive in the Galapagos Islands is during the cool season (June through November) when temperatures are cooler and currents are stronger. This guide will help you decide if you are up for the challenge.
Elphinstone
For its beautiful soft corals and vibrant marine life, dive the Elphinstone Reef. The reef is 300 metres long and lies between 20 and 40 meters deep. It is covered by large gogonians, sponges and sea whips. For giant trevally and redtooth triggerfish, drop in to the plateau with fingers. It is possible to see a Hammerhead shark, which can be very rare and difficult to spot. This dive spot offers clear water and strong drift.
Belize Blue Hole
The Great Blue Hole is the name of a Caribbean Sea dive site that you have probably heard about. Located about 62 miles from the mainland of Belize, the Blue Hole is a near-perfectly round hole. It is located in central Lighthouse Reef and measures 125m. It is a popular spot for snorkelers and scuba divers, but few people have ventured into its depths.
