Advanced Open Water Diver Courses

scuba certification

Advanced Open Water Diver is a course that will help you take your diving skills to the next step. This course will improve buoyancy, navigation, deep diving, and other skills. It also offers three specialty diving options. When you successfully complete the course, credit will be earned towards specialty certifications.

Adventure dives

You must take an adventure dive to become a fully certified diver. They improve your buoyancy and awareness, as well as your communication skills. You must have completed at least 5 dives to be certified. Your instructor will guide you through the training and help you plan your dives.

Adventure dives are required for all specialty courses. They count towards the specialty that you are working towards. You will be able to select dives that are useful in the future. PADI recommends that you choose dives with a wide variety of objectives, from deep exploration to exploring wrecks and wildlife.

Night dive

Students learn different techniques to make it safer underwater in an Advanced Open Water Diver course. They learn to control their breathing and adjust their body positions. They learn to communicate with their buddy and use diving lights. Students will have fun as they practice their skills by playing games in shallow water.

Night diving is an excellent way to explore new underwater worlds. Night diving offers a different experience to daytime diving, making it more interesting than daytime. Even though night diving can seem scary, they aren't as difficult as you might imagine. Your instructor will teach you the correct techniques and help with any difficulties you might face when diving at night.

Underwater naturalist dive

PADI Underwater Naturalist Course aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge to interact with aquatic ecosystems. Students learn about basic organism groupings and identification, how these species live in different habitats and how to practice environmentally-friendly diving. They learn about the importance conservation of biodiversity and marine conservation.

For divers who have successfully completed the PADI Open Diver certification, and want to learn more about the marine environment. Students learn about coral reefs, marine species, food chains, and relationships between them. The course lasts for one day and involves two open water dives.

Peak performance buoyancy dive

You must learn how to remain buoyant when diving. You must be buoyant all the time, as falling in water can cause decompression sickness. Bad buoyancy control can also increase injury to marine life and sharp rocks. PADI Peak Performancebuoyancy Specialty helps divers maintain proper buoyancy and to avoid these issues.

PADI Peak Performance Bulkyancy Specialty is an intensive one-week class. It includes classroom and pool sessions along with two optional open water diving. The course teaches students to control buoyancy and aids them in moving through the water with ease. PPB's goal is to make diving more fun, efficient, and easier.

Maximum depth is 30m/100ft

In the PADI Advanced Open Water course, you will learn the skills needed to dive to a depth of 100 feet. Diving deeper than this is extremely dangerous as you may experience nitrogen narcosis and impaired cognitive function. This depth is also dangerous for making mistakes that can prove to be fatal. This is why you shouldn't go deeper than that without proper training.

The Advanced Open Water course can usually be completed in a period of 1.5 to 2 days. The duration of the course is dependent on the instructor. You can choose to take the course on-line or at your local beach. Instructor training is essential before you take the course.
