Scuba Ranger: You'll get to learn about different aquatic creatures and their habitats. Additionally, you will learn about different surface and underwater search techniques. These methods include using compasses as well as circle, square and grid searches. You'll also be able to learn about water sports such swimming, kayaking or surfing.

Advanced Scuba Rangers programme

Advanced Scuba Rangers is a program that allows students to develop their diving skills and gain confidence in water. Advanced Scuba Rangers will be able to participate in various underwater activities and demonstrate their skills to their friends and family. This program is perfect for children with a strong interest and passion in the water.

There are two phases to the Advanced Scuba Rangers Program. The first phase is designed to introduce students to basic skills required for wreck diving. The second part of the course will teach them how to search for and prepare for wrecks. They will also learn how to use different search patterns and calculate distances. Additionally, they will be able to assess the dangers of wreck diving.

To become an Advanced Scuba Ranger, you must first complete the basic Scuba Rangers program. The program usually lasts five days. The program costs $350 and includes the training kit, pool time, instructor fees and all scuba equipment. You must be at minimum eight years of age to enroll in this program. You can also opt for a single-day Ranger Specialty Program.


Field trips to aquariums

Students from Pre-K through High School can benefit from educational programs offered by aquariums. These programs are hands-on and include science investigations, lab activities, scientific investigations, and animal encounters. They are taught with Aquarium experts and meet Next Generation Science Standards. Additionally, these programs include teacher resources. Online courses, live presentations, and free resources are available for students.

The National Aquarium in Washington is a premier aquarium in the United States. It provides solutions to protect marine life and human communities. Students can visit non-public areas to take part in narrated feedings. Teachers can also take free online classes at the Aquarium and access resources like printable art and crafts. In addition, students can take a virtual tour of the Great Wall of China using Zoom technology.

Teachers are also eligible for a free orientation. It takes approximately 60 minutes to complete and includes a brief overview of the National Aquarium's education programs. Instructors will learn safe use of scuba equipment as well as how to use regulators or masks. They will also learn all about the marine life, and how equipment care is important. After their orientation, students will be able to visit an aquarium and participate on an educational program.

Learn in the pool

Rangers learn how to dive and also learn basic navigation techniques. To find underwater treasures, they also learn to use a compass and grid. The pool will provide a place for Rangers to practice their skills. After mastering each skill, they will be able to swim a mile with their snorkel, fins and mask. Rangers learn about basic first aid and how they can recognize signs that trouble or stress are occurring while diving.

First, learn how to do a side flip or back flip underwater without getting sick. Another activity requires candidates take a mask and their teeth to the pool floor, and perform five underwater bobs. You can drop the mask, break the restraints, or touch the sides of the pool if you don't complete the bob.
