An introductory course can be a great way to get started if you are keen to dive but not sure where you should start. This course, also known as a buceo or baptism of water, is great for beginners and those with limited time. While you can dive up to 12m, you will need a certified instructor to complete the course. If you decide to take any additional classes, you can upgrade to the next level, such as a Rescue or Advanced open water certification.
PADI Scuba Diver
There are several PADI Scuba Diver courses. The introductory course can be taken by those just starting out and they can then move up to the next level after they have reached certain competency levels. PADI Scuba Diver Course consists of 14 modules. These modules are divided into three sections. The course typically lasts for three days. However, it can be upgraded in as little a 1/1.5 day. This course allows you to go to 18 meters. It is the most popular in the world.

Advanced open-water diver
Open water divers who have completed the Open Water Diver Course have an AOW certification. AOW divers can dive to depths greater than 60 feet. AOW divers are also capable of improving buoyancy and air consumption. Advanced open water divers may also be able to perform specialty dives, such as wreck diving. There are many levels of AOW certifications. Below are the differences between the levels. Read on to find out more about these different levels.
Rescue diver
There are three levels to your Rescue Diver certificate: the technical, recreational, and the dive leader. International Standards Organisation (ISO), sets the standards for these levels. These training levels are based upon BS EN 14413-2 and ISO 24801-1, 2004. Level-one instructors can teach recreational divers, assess them up to level one, and plan and execute dives. They are also qualified to lead open-water divers and teach rescue skills.
Cave-1 class
Cave diver certification requires at least 40 hours of classroom instruction and practical experience. This course covers the basics of cave diving, standard procedures, emergency procedures, as well as information about the dangers and challenges that the environment presents. During their cave course, students are tested on their skills. There are two parts to the course: academics and water-based activities. Students are required to pass an exam and demonstrate their competence by passing a quiz. The cave diving course requires that the student complete a manual.

Master Scuba Diver
Master Scuba Diver certification can be obtained in five levels. The first level is the Open Water dive, which is where you learn how to dive, and manage yourself and your scuba gear. The next two levels include electives that you choose. You can dive with other Master Scuba Divers as long as they are also certified. You also get a 10% discount on all five courses if you reach this level.
